In order to recuperate, he has decided to go to England, and on to Germany, with Mrs Baume. They leave Auckland in February. The officers and members of the Canterbury Caledonian Society met in the upstairs hall at their rooms, Worcester-street, the other evening to bid farewell to his Honor Mr Justice Denniston, one of the vice-pre-sidents of the society, on the occasion of liis leaving on a visit to the Home Country.
