NORWICH BISHOPIC.

Press Assn —By tel-egraph—-Copyright, i (Received January 14, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, January 13. The Rev. Bertran Pollock, Master of Wellington College, succeeds the Right Rev. John Sheepshanks, , who lias retired from the Bishopric or Norwich. The Rev. Bertram Pollock, headmaster of Wellington, is quite a young man for so big an office as that which he now occupies, for he became the youngest son of Master Pollock, of the Supreme Court of Judicature, only forty-three years ago. Being a typical Pollock:, he was born to success. He won a scholarship at Charterhouse and another at Trinity, Cambridge ; whence lie went to Marlborough College for a time as assist-ant-master. He lias been Master of Wellington for nearly fourteen years. He Avon his Cambridge Blue as a quarter-miler. Naturally, he is in- . terested in sport as well as work, so that lie is quite popular with most boys> But at least he is a very charming man to meet out of school.
