The Rev. E. llobertshawe, Vicar of St. John's, returned to Dannevirke to-day after an enjoyable rest of nearly three weeks at Napier. Tiie Labor Department is sending 20 bushmen from Wellington on Monday to work on the Waitotara block, while other parties from different parts of the dominion are following in the course -of a few days. lin addition to these 100 meu are being sent to Te Karaka railway works at Gisborne; 100 to Stratford railway works ; 100 to the Broken River end of the. Midland railway, and 40 to the Nelson end. It is expected thai the work now available will meet the requirements of the bulk of the men at present idle.
