FOUNDERING OF A BARQUE.
A BOAT'S CREW -MISSING. Press Assn — By telegraph — Copyright. ' (Received this day; 9.30 a.m.) HOBART, to-day. A boat containing Captain Lindstol and six members of the crew of the Norwegian -barque Orleans, bound from Seychelles to ])imc(lin, with a cargo of guano, reached Macquarie Heads last night. He reported the barque foundered 12 days ago. Another boat containing- the mate and six seamen is missing. The captain states the Orleans was 200 miles off the Tasmanian coast when she opened out and' commenced to leak badly,' and he was obliged to abandon the ship. The crew took to the 'boats, which were well supplied with food and water. . The weather was exceptionally rough, and the men in the boat suffered great privations. Those who landed were in a very weak state. The boats kept together till Wednesday afternoon, a sharp look-out being kept for the one still missing. .It is presumed to be off the coast.
