DEFRAUDING THE CUSTOMS.

The head of a millinery establishment was I sentenced to two years' imprisonment, and another was sentenced to a year. His wife was fined £1000. The authorities estimate that they have been robbed of four million sterling annually principally by dressmakers' agents working on a system.
