KIRITAKI.

[OWN CORRESPONDENT.] On Wednesday evening, at. a meeting of the directors of tho Tamsiki Cooperative Dairy Co., it was decided that tho statutory meeting of shareholders which was to have been held on tho 23rd inst., should bo postponed until Friday, .July 2nd, as it was found that the original date would clash with those of the National Dairy Show. It was further decided to mark the occasion by some special ceJoUratiou.s, and accordingly j a meeting of the wives of shareholders is to be called for Monday next

at Mi- Bell's- house- in Te Rehmiga- to discuss arrangements in ' connection with the social aspect of the gathering. Mr Jacobsen's residence at Kiritaki was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday afternoon, when Miss Laura Jacobson, second daughter of tho house, Avas married to Mr Chas. Gage, of "Waverley. The bride looked very nice in • a pretty cream dross and was attended by her sister, Miss Ruth Jacobsen as bridesmaid. The marriage was solemnised by Mr Rowe, of Rongotea according to tho usages of the Plymouth Brethren, of which body both the young people are members. .A .very largo number of guests were present, and a" very enjoyable afternoon Avas spent in social chat and in viewing the very largo number of pretty and useful articles which had been presented to the bride. Later on ' Mr. and Mrs Gage left for Palmorstoir* en route for their future home at Waverley, where they will bo followed by the good'Avishes of a very large circle of friends. Advantage was taken of the recent visit of the Rev. H. J. Mayer, with his party of "Barnardo Boys," to hand over to him the proceeds of the social in aid of tho Homes, lately held in the Kiritaki School. This sum, together with, a donation, of 2s 6d, amounted to, £0 13s, and Avas duly acknowledged by tho Rev. MiMayer on a proper receipt form, which is now to bo seen on the wall of tho school.
