ALLAN HAMILTON'S COMPANY.
Mr AllSn Hamilton's fine, dramatic company will give a performance at the Drill Hall on Tuesday evening; The production will be Robert Ganthony's fantastical comedy drainay "A Message from Mars." Mr Hamilton' has secured a strong company, which is headed by Mr George Cross and ' Miss Ada Guildford, both of whomaro well known throughout the dominion; -■ A gifted young New ZeaJander is also with the company,- in the person of Miss Rosemary Rees, daughter of Mr W. L. Rees, the well known barrisr ter, at Gisborne. About eight -years ago Miss Rees went to London with letters of introduction ■ '■, from- th«r\ Broughs, ,and she latterly playedwith Mrs Brown Potter at the big English - centres in Somerset Maughan's comedy, "Lady Frederick." Sir Charles Wyndham has recently accepted a one act. play by Miss Rees, entitled "Her dearest friend." The company hare, six new plays -in the repertoire, and bring' with them 200 tons of scenery, the whole of which has been recently painted by Mr H. Whaite, who was responsible for most of the beautiful sets seen in the late Robert Brough's tours. The box plan is open at Ba-rt-lett's. - . . ■
