' The Commonwealth delegates to the Imperial Press Conference have appointed Messrs Thomas and Kervan their chairman and secretary respectively. Tho Canadian and South African delegates intend to submit a scheme for the creation of an Imperial News Agency, with" central offices in London to distribute, news throughout the Empire. Lively interest is manifested in the proposal. Mr Harold Begbie, in a stirring ode of welcome to the delegates, filled a column of the Times. Owing to only three hours being allotted on each of the four days for business, and overwhelming entertainments day and night, the Conference resumes at the end of tho month after a provincial tour.
