CO-OPERATION.
ROOSEVELT'S VIEWS., : Press Assn— By- telegraph— Copyright. LONDON, yesterday. Ex-President Roosevelt, in a letter to tho British Minister at Washington, pays a generous tribute to, the Plunkett initiation' and its successful -conduct of the co-operative movement in Irish agriculture 'which had inspired him and his fellow workers in the task of attacking somewhat similar problems in American rural life. „ The Times says that in, view of, the •-■ special phaaractei^ of the representative national message with which Roosevelt, on the eve of quitting office, invested the communication, perhaps it would be more courteous of the British Government to accord it publicity here on our initiative instead of permitting its existence to become known through tho American press months after it was written. Considering the circumstances wherein Sir H. Plunkett ceased to be vicepresident .of. the department the encomiums are' likely to embarrass those responsible for the sacrifice to Nationalist antipathies .
