A SCOW ASHORE.

Tlie three-mated scow Ururoa, coal laden, from Newcastle for Wanganui gasworks, went ashore. last night on the sea beach, about one mile south of the entrance to the port. She lies about 250 yards from the shore in a bad position, and though floating at. high, water, it is believed she will ground at low water. No commtmication lias yet been lield with -her, though the tug Thistle has gone to .' -iicr- assistance. Her bulwarks appear to be broken away.
