[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, yesterday. Wm. Neil, alias Thompson /• and John McCormack, alias Scan-lan,' appeared on remand before Mr Riddell, S.M., this afternoon charged with assaulting and robbing on 7th December one Knnd .'".Christians Jorgensen, of a watch chain," a' sovereign case, £2 8s in money, and several other- articles'of a total value of £4. 10s 6d. ;• Against there. were three other charges of a similar nature of assault and robbery. __e^-a_: eharg- % ed, first, with -having, on sth Decern-* ber assaulted, and robbed John Corrich of 15s in money, tlien on the same' date Arthur Jantes Black of 4s in money, and finally,' on 7th I)ecember, George Reid of one silver watch, a gold; mounted ribbon guard, and a sovereign case, of a total value of £8. After evidence had been heard, the accused wer-e committed for trial.
