WEBER.
[OWN OOEBBBPONDENT.] On Suuday last, the rain fell in torrents. It was indeed welcomed by our graziers; the nearer one gets to the coast, the more signs, there were of brown patches : in- , the -paddocks on the higher grounds. Those who are shearing might have indulgf od in the customary grumble, at the temporary stoppage, but then farm*ers are a liberal-minded body as- a whole and therefore glad that their neighbours' grass is all "a-growin' and aiblowin'." " We have resuscitated our Tennis Club and commenced with 19 members. Play i has commenced for the season" on the court, in the domain ground. Last season the court in the school ground was tised. Several others will probably join. $ The synchronous' examination of pupils 1 ' of Standard VI. was held in the Weber School on Monday. Mobs of sheep and cattle are beginning to pass through Weber, going' to their last home. Their condition is A -I. .
