* : Ptoss Assn — By telegraph— Copyright. LONDON, yesterday. The Archbishop of Canterbury introduced to the Hon. H. H. Asquith, Prime Minister, an. influential deputation representing the National Anti-Sweating League, which urged the introduction of legislation against sweated labor. Sir Charles Dilk© and Mr G. N.Barnes, Labor M.P., spoke on behalf of the Labor party, and Earl Dun-' raven on behalf of the league. Mr Asquith expressed entire sympathy with the object of the league. Personally, he favored proceeding by way of a Wages Board. He hoped the Government would be able to provide machinery of that kind which would be. properly equipped, prompt and effective. They must proceed cautiously, recognising the delicacy of the problem.
