— —* — — [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, to-day. The scow K^a Ora struck a rock off Kawau last night and three , lives were lost, Captain Edward Piercy, aged 55, married; Jas. Piercy, his son; aged about 30; and the cook, whose name is unknown. One seamon was saved. The vessel was on her way to Auckland loaded with logs, AUCKLAND, to-day. There are no further particulars concerning the Kia Ora. The name •of the cook is Thomas Young, son of .a shipwright, of Auckland.
