TIPAPAKUKU SCHOOL COMMITTEE
The monthly meeting of tho above committee was held last evening. Present: Messrs H* Benton (chairman), T. M. Webb, (secretary), Herbert, White, Williams, and Crooks. The headmaster, Mr Quigley, was also present. His report stated that tho number .on the roll is 113, and the average attendances for tho four weekly periods had been 95, 94, 97 and 99. The report mentioned that one family had been prosecuted for failing te send their children to school. Correspondence was received from the Education Board in reference to an. assistant. Complete arrangements were made for the annual prize-giving ceremony, and it was decided to again ask the Mayor (Pastor Ries) to present the prizes. It was resolved to hold the annual school picnic sometime during the early part of February. ' A resolution, conveying the committee's deepest sympathy to Mr Cameron, in his sad bereavement, was passed, and tho meeting adjourned. MHnaBHnHnM-_-_--fi
