Nominations for Events -Nos. 4, 6, 10, 12, 14, 18, 19, and 21, must be in writing, and accompanied by the necessary Fees and definite particulars of last two years' performances (all matches to be included). If no performances- in that time the last four performances or any. Nominations close with the secretary on MONDAY, 7th December. Handicaps will be declared on Monday. 14th December... Acceptances close on the ground with the secretary by 12 noon on day of sports. Nominations for No. 22 close with the secretary at 12 noon on day of sports. All other Horse Events at 3 p.m. In event No. 4, Cup must be won twice in succession or three times at intervals, before becoming the absolute property of competitor. Name of each winner will be inscribed on Cup, which will be retained by Club until the above conditions are fulfilled. In No. 9 arms must be enclosed inside of sack. The conditions for event 23 require that both girth and surcingle be used. Each competitor shall lead his horse 25 yards to saddle, saddle up and mount. • In No. 24, competitors must. lead horses 12 yards to lady and hand over thread and needle. On receiving the needle in return threaded, mount and gallop round point (to be indicate i by an upright) and return to starting plaoe. Each competitor must round the point by the right. All Athletic Events will be oonducted under the Rules of the N.Z. Athletic Union, and the competitor's attention is drawn to Rule 15 of Constitution and 13 of Regulations, i.e., "That every competitor must be registered and entry fee paid before competing, otherwise he is liable to disqualification, and will not receive any prize money." Bicycle Events under League of Wheelmen's Rules. All disputes to be settled by Judges and Referee. All Protests must be in the hands .of the secretary, in writing, not later than a quarter of an hour from the finish of the event in dispute, accompanied by a deposit of 10s. At least 5 competitors to start in each athletic event, and 3 in each Highland event, otherwise the competition will be cancelled. Waipukurau Town Band and Napier Pipe Band in attendance. Admission: Adults, Is; children under 12 years, 6d; member's ticket admits wife and family under 12 years; horses Is. A special plantation enclosure will, be provided for horses and traps.
