Metropolitan "Rules of Racing" strictly adhered to. Protests (if any) must be made in writing, and handed to the Secretary' within 15 minutes of disputed event. A deposit of- £2 must accompany each protest, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest is not sustained. All races are for hacks only. "Hack" shall mean a horse that has never won over £25 in any race of any description at time of entry. A limited number of permits will be issued te approved Bookmakers at two guineas each. Permits must be obtained from the Secretary, before 11.30 a.m. on day of races. Bookmakers plymg their occupation without . a permit will be removed and prosecuted. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections shall be determined by the provisions of the "Rules of Racing." . :. TO Travel the Season between Woodville and Dannevirke, the chestnut Trotting Stallion, ROYALTY, By Imperial (Imperious — Fairy), out" of Whitelyn (Brooklyn — Whitefeet). Imperial won his heat in the Juvenile Stakes, which event was won by his half brother Dictator. He also won races in saddle and harness at Auckland and Wellington. Fairy wu a very fast mare, having won races at Auckland, Addington and Wellington. Brooklyn was bred by Mr Maw, of New Brighton, and is a very fast horse; he is a half brother to that great horse Almont, who holds the record of 2.12$ for a mile and 6.50 for three miles, the latter being a world's record. Whitefeet was an imported mare, and won races all over New Zealand. Royalty is a good tempered horae, and with his breeding can be depended upon to leave something good ; h* is a sure foal-getter.
