WELLINGTON, to-day. The chief electoral officer states that at present appearances, 22 second ballots will be. required in the following electorates: Wellington South, East and North, Suburbs, Dunedin North, Ashburton, Palmerston, Wangantii, Manawatu, Hawke's Bay, Geraldine, Ohinemuri, Timaru, Egmont, Tuapeka, Pahiatua, Gis- ' borne, Hurunui Bay of Plenty, Avon, Waitemata, and Nelson. All these will;. take place on Tuesday, except the Bay of Plenty, but in one or two cases, such as Nelson and Gisborne, the necessity for another -ballot may disappear when the absent A-otes are all received.
