[ritBSS ASSOCIATION.] \ DUNEDIN, yesterday. ,Tho Presbyterian Assembly decided to amalgamate the beneficiary funds of the northern and southern sections of the Churchj and a committee, was set- up . to consider the. question of regulation. . The, Bible - in - School Committee reported; that now there were , J 74 classes against 110 at the close, of last year. The opmmitttee on Sabbath observance expressed regret "at the number of oases of violation .of tho Sabbath, : and reponunend^ ed .^that the Moderator be requested to japproaoh tho* authorised represehtaii^es.of the. other Churches with the. object of issuing a joint manifesto, on. tho_ subject of. , desecration and making .a kindly appeal to "the people.; - The' -Assembly appointed; a committee: to consider what could, bo done to -amalgamate the Outlook, Young Men's Magazine, Girls' Chronicle, Break of Day Magazine, Harvest Field and New Hebrides Magazine. The Church Extension Committee recommended that funds from the -Manson bequest be devoted to the following stations : Hokianga, OhuTa, Tadmor, Stratford/ Outfields, and Hoki.tika. Tho Outfield Committee .recommended- that a home mission agent be set aside, specially to deal, with; remote and sparsely populated, districts. •- The 'report was adopted. It was decided 'that the Auckland Presbytery be. divided and a hew Presbytery created in Waikato.
