[FBEBB ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, to-day. Tho struggle between the Noiioense and trade parties overshadows the Parliamentary contests. The meetings of the former are attended t>y thousands, while little interest is taken in the candidates' meetings. Both parties are spending largely in advertising. The trade on this occasion has been absolutely lavish in advertising, showing that it is assumed they believe the danger threatening is very real.
