The, contractor for the erection of •the schoolhouse at Rangitane is now placing tlie timber on the sito, and the settlers hope that every expedition will be used, so that the sclvool may be ready for occupation after the Christmas holidays. Mr and Mrs J. Sharplin, of Rangitane, have had the misfortune to lose their two-year-old daughter, from convulsions. The funeral nvas held toi day, and a number of, the settlers of the district .were present out of sympathy wit-a the bereaved paints.
