AS decided at a meeting of the Holiday Association I hereby request the Burgesses of Dannevirke to observe THURSDAY, 22nd October, 1908 (People's day at the Hawke's Bay Sbow), as a holiday in lieu of the statutory half -holiday on Wednesday, October 21st, 1908. HOLIDAY Excursion Tickets to HASTINGS and NAPIER,, available for return until 26th October, 1908, will be obtainable as under : — From Woodville, Hatuma and intermediate stations on 20th, 21st and 22nd October; and from Waipukurau, Paki Paki, and intermediate stations on 21st and 22nd October. NOTE.— On 22nd Ootober these tickets will be issued only by morning trains Reaving Woodville at 6.45 a.m., Waipukurau 7.5, 8.45 and 10.5 a.m.) They will be available for break of journey only at Hastings Show Grounds platform or Hastings. TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS. TUESDAY, 20th OCTOBER— A passenger train will run ahead of the ordinary Up Mail train ac follows ;-*- Woodville . dep 1.25 pm., Dannevirke 223 Napier arr 6.11 p.m. This train will, if required, stop at flag stations between Woodville and Dannevirke to take up passengers. North of Dannevirke it will make same stops as ordinary Up Mail train. WEDNESDAY, 21st OCTOBERAll trains, except Mail trains, Will stop at Hastings Show Ground platform, if required. THURSDAY, 22nd OOTOBER, (People's Day) — The usual 6.0 a in. train Woodville to Napier will leave Woodville at 6.45 a m., Dannevirke 7.60, Show Grounds arr 11.50 a.m. The usual 2.15 p.m. train Napier to Woodville will leave Napier 3.42 p.m., Haßtings 4.47, Show Grounds platform 4.52, Dannevirke 9.80, W T oodville arr 10,20 p.m. All trains, except the Mail trains, will stop at Show Grounds platform if required. .The goods sheds at Port Ahuriri, Napier and Hastings will ba closed on 22nd October.
