MISCELLANEOUS. The Commissioner handed in schedules of Crown tenants in arrear with rent who have already received notices as to their indebtedness, without rejily ing. Final , notices to he sent in some cases; in others applications for extension granted. _ Proposals of the Danneyirke County Council for the expenditure of thirds and fourths amounting to £1403 14s 3d, were approved. Mr Hyde gave notice that he would move at the next full meeting of the board, "That in all cases whore section 84 of the Land Act, 1908, applies in regard to residence for two years being' compulsory, and the, Land for Settlements Act, 1908, which makes five years necessary, the proof of such residence must rest with the tenant who wishes to transfer his interest in the lease, independent of any report received from the ranger; such proof- to be a written statement made by not less than two residents in the same locality during the term of two or five years respectively."
