LONDON, Yesterday.

After two days' telegraphic negotiations between. Sir Asquith, and tho Catholic Archbishop of Westminster, tho' Premier deprecating the procession and Archbishop Bourne requiring Mr Asquith to make a public request for the abandonment of the procession, the Premier intimated that it was better, in the interests of order and good, feeling, that tho ceremonial, of which he questioned the legality, should not take place.

Archbishop Bourne- decided that. all ecclesiastical ceremonial, should . be eliminated from the procession, the cardinals and bishops to proceed to the Cathedral along the proposed route in full Court dress, but the ceremonial procession to> be held within the Cathedral, and the Legate's benediction to_ bo bestowed from the balcony of the Cathedral.
