HARRY RICKARDS' VAUDEVILLE SEASON.
♦ The visits to New. Zealand from time to time of Mr Harry. Riekards' combinations are always welcomed by the large section of theatregoers who patronise the lighter form of entertainment provided by our theatrical caterers; but in the case of Mr Rickards' coming attraction, which will open at the Drill Hall on Wednesday nest, vaudeville patrons will have an opportunity of witnessing as strong an array of talent as was ever sent to the colony by the "Australian vaudeville king." In King and Benson, and the Charlenes, the play-going public will witness two of the best musical acts to be found in any variety threatre. Mr Fred Russell, the famous ventriloquist, and his- friend "Coster Joe," must be a familiar name to all those who keep in touch with the music hall world of London, while Miss Cassie Walmer, "the dusky princess," whose delightful singing and dancing secured her a foremostplace in London, will be seen in this colony for the first time. Mr Rickards has also sent over such- oldestablished favorites- as Miss Ada Sadler (soprano), Mr George Dean (with a new budget of descriptive songs). Messrs Roehfort and Hart (the pepular duellists), and a /number of other performers who have already established themselves in the, good opinion of .New Zealand audiences. The plan of reserved seats opens on Monday at Bnrtlett's.
