The above met yesterday. Present — Messrs T. Tanner (chairman). V.". Morgan, S. McLernon, O. Ericksen, C. M. Whittington, Pastor P»ies, the Her. A. Grant, and Sir William Russell. Norsowood : Application for two clocks deferred. Subsidy up to £5 granted for topping trees. Chant of 1-js voted for repairs to chimney. Porangahau. — Application for bell deferred. Inspector to report as to applications for repairs to fence and a boiler. Ti Tree: Rent received ivy committee to be forwarded to the ' Board, | and application to bo made to the Hoard for requirements. Tipapakuku : Ridging to be repaired. Umutaoroa : Application for large bell and repairs to tank referred to Inspector Hill, to report. Heretaunga : Inspector to report on aplication for repairs ; .o residence. APPOINTMENTS. It was decided to forward application for appointments at the following schools to the committees interested : Port Ahuriri, assistant master; Meanee, mistress; Norsewood, assistant master; Wakarara, sole teacher. Taradale: Miss A. Rundle, appointed pupil teacher. Woodville: Miss Murphy to remain as pupil teacher till December provided she makes written application. Porangahau : Applications to be invited for position of permanentteacher. Olive: Miss Burns to remain as pupil teacher, provided she makes written application. The inspector was instructed to report as to an application by the teacher with regard to the use of the school ground at Mangahe. It Mas decided to write to the Education Department, pointing out the unfairness of allowing teachers' classes in psychology in other districts and not in Hawke's Bay. Consideration of the revised regulations was held over till next month Inspector Hill reported that certain repairs and improvements should bo effected to the outhouse accommodation at the Waipawa School.— Referred to the committee sor an estimate of the cost. Accounts and salaries amounting to £4749 13s Id Avez-e passed i'or payment.
