At the inquest on John held yesterday afternoon, the verdict of the jury was as • follows : That the deceased met his death as the resitlt of fracture of the skull, and rupture of a blood vessel on the brain, caused while under the influence of liquor on Friday evening last. WELLINGTON, June 11. The woman- who died suddenly in the city on Sunday, has been identified as Mary Murray. WELLINGTON, dune 10. At an inquest • -to-day concerning the death of a woman who expired at a city restaurant on Saturday, the jury found that death was caused by pneumonia, followed by heartfailure. There was no direct evidence of identification, but from a communication received from Masterton deceased was supposed' to be Annie Hobbins. NAPIER, June 11. A fatal trap accident occurred at Petane this . evening. A trap containing two married ladies named Marshall and the infant son of one of them was proceeding through a cutting near Wairoati a short distance from Petane, when the horse attached to the trap commenced kicking, with the result that the vehicle was capsized and the occupants thrown out. - The baby was killed instantaneously, his skull being fractured. The child was ten months old. WANGANUI, June 10. A serious trap accident occurred in Victoria Avenue tins afternoon, resulting in serious injury to an elderly settler, Samuel Wilson, a resident of Mars Hill. As a result of the collision he was thrown out, and sustained concussion. At a late hoxir this evening he had not recovered consciousness. WANGANUI, June 11. Samuel Wilson died this morning from the result of the accident last evening, when tlirough a collision lie was thrown out of a trap on to his head. He never recovered consciousness.
