The mysterious personage^rho was wearing false whiskers, remained iusule long enough to bore six one-inch holes through the boards of the inside wall, and then he came out again and carried in a number of fruit cases, light wood, aud straw, and built these up against the wall. Ho then came outside, carry, ing his Maori kit with him. Jusc as he emerged from the door Constable Learmont arrested the man, who proved to be R. L.
