NOTICE is boivby given tbah it if the intention of tbo Akifcic County Council with the consent ol the ratepayers interested, to raise a loan of Eight Thousand Pounds' foi two successive years' expenditure, foi the purpose of metalling Alfreclton-Wobur-road, Eakavmui to Pongaroa £900; Pongaroa to Waione, £1350: metalling Makuri - Pongaroa-road, £1850 ; formation and metalling Pongaroa-Akitio-road, £2550 ; metalling Makuri-Kakaunui-road known as Bimu-road, £450 ; formation and metalling Towai-road, £900. To meet the interest, sinking func and annual charges of the said loar it is proposed to strike a specia' rate of two-fifths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value for th< time being over the whole of the Akitio County.. The cost of raising loan and clerical expenses to be paid out of loan. The interest on the said loan U be at a rate of 4 per centum pej annum for a term of forty-one years. MEETINGS of ratepayers in terested will be held at the Pongaros Town Hall, Pongaroa, on Saturday Ist September, 1906, at 1 p.m. ; ant at the Ferry-house, Akitio ; road man's whare, Aohanga; schoolhcust Pukehinau; schoolhouse, Mangatiti and at the scboolhouse, Bakaunui, or Monday, 3rd September, 190G, ai noon, to consider the proposals.
