The crew ot the steamer Maima that is to proceed to an unnamed island off the coast of Africa, in search of diamonds, numbers 4s, composed largely of naval reserves. Gas engines, mining implements and washing plant have been shipped at Cardiff, and also a large staff ot engineers. The voyage is expected to last six months.
