(Press Association.) Wellington, This day. The Royal Commission, comprising Mr McArfchur, S.M ; Capt. Blac^kburne, nautical adviser to the Marine Department ; and TV. L. Foster, formerly a member of the Assets Realisation Board, which, was appointed to inquire into fires on ships, whose cargoes have included wool, flax or tow, sat to-day. Tlie Chairman said it was proposed to issue subpoenas to certain witnesses, giving them twenty-four hours' notice to appear before the Commission, and some i would be ready to give evidence tomorrow morning.
