THE SIRIO WRECK.
(Press Association) By Electric Telegraph,— Copyright Received this day, at 8.33 a.m. Loxoon. August 12. Additional survivors from the steamer Sirio have landed. It is officially stated that 603 were saved, and 219 are missing The catastrophe was due to the steamer approaching too near the coast in order to embark boatloads oC emigrants who were evading the authorities, many of whom were escaping from military service.
