Sydney Cash Drapery Co are selling j men's dungarees, rugs, shirts, etc., at astonishingly low prices. Mr G. Hobbs cautions persons against removing goods from his premises in Knight-street. .The D.C A. are showing exceptional bargains in Ladies' Jackets during their great sale.— Advt. Mr N. L. Gurr, insurance and general commission agent, inserts a replace advertisement to-day. Mr Gurr is agent for the State Fire and Life Insurance offices, and also has a large number of landed properties for sale or lease. The Clothing Factory's great stocktaking sale closes on Saturday next. To-day Mr Clayton advertises special bargains in the boot and shoe department. The Company carry a large stock of all kinds, and the lines are all fashionable and up-to-date. Great concessions are still being made in the clothing department. From Thursday morning next until the following Tuesday the residents of Norsewood will find themselves placed on a level footing with those of the larger centres and cities. In the past only those who live in the large centres have the privilege of visiting the important drapery sales which periodically take place therein, but on this occasion the Norsewood folk will have the same opportunity extended towards them. The purchasers of Hansen's drapery stock in Palmerston North (and we understand that the price paid was very small) are removing a great many cases to Norsewood for realisation. The time allowed for the disposal of the stock is only five days, and it is fully anticipated that every article will be sold before the time expires. Full particulars will be found on page 1. Abraham and Williams hold an important clearing sale to-morrow at Hamua. on behalf of Mr C. Kilsby. On Saturday next, the sth last., E. Lloyd and Co., the Premier Drapers, will make every twentieth sale in millinery a free gift. This concession will be made on every Saturday until the end of their great sale of millinery, jackets, and blankets, which is proving a huge success. — Advt. An advertiser has two front rooms with use of kitchen to let. Mr W. Rose publishes a summary of his sales for August, which will be found on the eighth page. The local secretary, Mr J. L. Ayre, notifies that entries for the Trinity College of Music's next M.K. exam, close on 23rd inst.
