The monthly meeting of the Soutn School committee was held last, night, when there were presents-Messrs Collett (chairman), $ansey, Mclntyre, Banby, Wilson, Carmiehael, and McKeuzie. The.Qhairman reported on the closipg of the school owing 'to the tpidemic of measles. The school had re-opened that day with %7Q scholars. - t lt was resolved to ask. the Board to provide a cupboard in which to keep the science apparatus at the High School-, and that the Board be asked to metal round thp new portion of the school to the costof £3 ,10s or. £4. Several other small requests are tp,be forwarded to ,the Board.
