In connection with the death of Mrs Dillon, found dead in her house at Mercer on Monday night, the police have arrested a man who was alleged to have been seen leaving deceased's house shortly before the discovery of her death. The woman's limbs w.ere bruised, and. some of her clothing was in a disordered condition. At the inquest now proceeding, evidence was given by Margaret Robinson that between 4 and 5 o'clock she saw the man, Win. Murton, come out of the house. He said she was asleep. They went in and found her on a sofa. They could not rouse her, and raised an alarm. The oilelotk on the floor and the carpet was crumpled up, and other articles were scattered over the floor.
