A drowning: accident occurred in the river this morning, a young man named Clinton, son of Bichard Clinton, farmer 6f Maxwelltown, losing his life. Alexander Calder, 28 years old, a storekeeper, at. Scargill, and Bobert Calder, 13; years iold,; his brother, were drowned yesterday in the Motunau river, twelve miles from Scargill.
