The Compensation Court sat at Blenheim yesterday to resume the hearing of the case, Clifford v. Minister for Lands, a claim of £410.000, in "respect to the taking of Flaxboume Estate, of 57,1?$ acres, under compulsory provision of Land for Settlement Aot, Justice Cooper presides, and the assessors are J. G. "Wilson and T. Kennedy Macdonald. The Court heard evidence as to the classification of land, and the case is likely to last some 'weeks.
