The Federal Premier has received a cable, from the Colonial Office, stating that a reply is riot expected for some time from Germany rjelauye. to. the protest against the restrictions in the Marshall group, the reason given being the German authorities will probably require to communicate with the authori-ties-at the Marshalls. Against this- it is pointed out that within 48 hours of its being known that the Y saltel was was returning to the group, an export duiy of 30s was placed on copra by the Berlin" authorities without . consullang the authorities at Ihe Marshalls.
