Captain Pope Hennessy's Mounted Rifles gallantly charged the enemy's Cereba in the face of showers of poisoned arrows and spears and seized Lasakante Wells, 35 miles southwest of Bohotle. The enemy fled to the bush, leaving fifteen killed and many wouuded. Sixteen were also captured. Colonel Manning's despatch riders reached Bohotle.
