He is a dark bay, with black points, standing 16 hands 2in, and has immense power and bone, portraying good temper, and traces his descent from the most aristocratic strains of racing blood in the colonies. Chainshot (his sire) was one of the best horses in Canterbury, and as a sire has been most successful, transmitting the Musket quarters to his stock. For getting Rachorses, C&rriage Horses, or weight-carrying Hacks, Chain Link is equal to anything in the country, and the owner would draw tbe attention of Breeders to his pedigree before making up his minds. It must be admitted that the Musket and Traducer blood has proved an exceptional combination, as both stallions proved themselves to be the two best sires that ever crossed the Line.
