Miss E. Keegan DRESSMAKER, Tennyson Street. (Rear of Presbyterian Church.) Terms moderate. AH orders promptly attended to. Government Insurance Department PROMPT SETTLEMENTS. Dannevirke, 2nd August, 1902. The Secretary, Government Insurance Department, Wellington. Dear Sir,— I HAVE to acknowledge the rereceiptof a cheque for 15s 7d, being balance payable under policy No. 54,118 on the life of my son, Alfred Andresen Friis, and I desire to thank the Department for its promptitude in paying the claim. I also wish to place on record the fact that the policy, which was taken out in June, 1886, and on which premiums ceased to be paid in 1894, was, notwithstanding, kept alive by the Department's liberal system of surrender value until the date of my son's death last month. The 6um assured, £200, plus bonuses £38 18s, less arrears of premium, has, therefore, been paid to roe quite unexEectedly, as I thought that the policy ad lapsed long ago. Such liberality on the part of the Government Insurance Department requires no further comment.— Yours faitbfully, J. P. A. FRIIS. Insure now as this is bonus year J. H. RICHARDSON, ommiseioner
