In the Assembly the- Treasurer, carried a Bill relieving him of the pitymeut of this year's animal instalment of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds from the consolidated revenue towards wiping out the accumulated deficit, and fixing next year's instalment at one hundred thousand pounds. Mr Waddel explained the Federal tariff changes and the extra charged which had arisen in connection with the plaguo, the Royal ..visit, and: the Common wealth celebrations, rendered it impossible to meet these instalments. Ths Opposition strongly attacked the Government for going back on its obligations, and its extravagance. The Treasurer tabled loan estimates totalliug £2,901,600, the railway and train way services accounting, for more than half. The Assembly sat continuously since yesternight till 11 to-night, discuuiug tho Estimates. All, inoluding the loan Estimates, were passed. " Adelaide, Dec. 13.Trouble has arisen in connection with breaking the seals on the stores of the steamers Prince Regent, Leopold, and Ortona. The Ortona has been detained pending the decision of the Federal Customs authorities. The others will be dealt with on the ships reaching Melbourne. Melbourne, Deo 13. In the House of Representatives a Supply Bill for January for /41 1,000, passed all its stages. The House adjourned till January 14th. The Senate passed the Post and Telegraph Rates Supply Bills,and adjourned till January 22nd.
