How to Keep Well and GoodLooking.
Lotta, the aotress, is a level-headed little woman. Tn a letter to a friend, who wanted to know how she keeps well and goodlooking, she writeß :— " Early to bed and early to rise makes a woman healthy, wealthy and wise. That has been my role all my life, and I have conscientiously adhered to it. Fifteen minutes after the performance I am out of the theatre. I take a glass of milk and am ready for my bed. I have always found that a well-balanced life and a wellbalanced mind filled with kind feelings for others, especially those around me who are toiling for their daily bread, is one of the greatest beautifiers. A most excellent role is to cultivate only those who are congenial, for the result is mutual benefit. It is good economy, I find, to avoid antagonistic natures, for iv snob, contact both are naturally injured. Nothing in the world helps to beautify one more than to appreciate his blessings — the perfect enjoyment of our five senses — with health." o- ■ ■
