All races on this programme are open to ' hacks ' only. 3. ' Hacks ' shall mean horses that have never won an advertised exceeding the value of 40 soys at . time ol start (hack and hunter races excepted), and that are not, at time of start, nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St. Leger, or Sapling Stakes. 4. No entry will be received for any race, except on condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising out of tho racing shall be settled by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. 5. In all nominations description, age, pedigree, and colors must be given. 6. Metropolitan Racing Rules will be strictly adhered to. HAWKE'S BAY ACCLIMITISATION SOCIETY. THE Fishing Season commences on 15th September next, and closes on 15th April, 1894. License fee, £1. Licenses can be obtained from the undersigned on application by letter enclosing fee ; also from Mr W.H. Nelson, Woodville; Mr F. C. W. Bierre, Danevirke ; and Mr Alexander Macdonald, Kuripapanga. The Society will give tho sum of Two Guineas, in addition to hall the amount of the fine, to anyone giving evidence enabling a conviction to be obtained against any person fishing without a license or out of season.
