AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Sydney, Nov. 20 A section of the unemployed attended service at the Wesleyan Centenary Hall yesterday. Prior to the service they paraded the streets, headed hy a man carrying a cross to which was attached a figure smeared with red paint. The cross bore the words, ' Murdered by the Rich, ' and 'Humanity Crucified.' Tho police seized the crucifix at the Hall. One of the unemployed offered up an objectionable prayer, condemning the clergy, but he was prevented from proceeding by the singing of a hymn. A terrific hailstorm has been experienced at Bathurst. Immense damage was done to crops, stacks and other property. The hail was of great size, and several persons were injured. ' Brisbane, Nov. 20. A fire broke out on board the mail steamer India, and damaged 600 bales of wool. Very little injury was caused to the vessel. The fire is supposed to be the work of an incendianst.
