Deaf Mutes.

I Among; the various methods which ! have been devised to enable deaf mutes to communicate with their more fortunate fellow beings, is that known as the Oral System or Articulation Method and Lip Heading. By its means deaf mutes aretaughttn articulate and utter words,not perhaps so distinctly as those persons who have their faculties perfect, but sufficiently well to be clearly understood, and both deaf-mutes and other persona suffering from deafness can be taught to read from the motion of the lips what other people say.
