Wed ding Breakfast in Prison.

A -wedding breakfast in a police station is a rather rare event even in Paris, where so many strange things happen. But Pave, a poacher, who was recently condemned to a fortnight's imprisonment for coing in search of game without a lioense, failed to surrender himself to justice. He had, in fact, something very important to transact, inasmuch as he was about to enter tho bands of wedlook with a young woman who was by no moans abashed by his poaching proclivities, and for whom the sentence hanging over his head h3d no terror.

The "Telegraph's 1 ' Paris correspondent says that the civil part of tho matrimonial ceremony took place all right in the mayor's office of the Gobelins district, Pave thinking that he could run the gauntlet of the police. The Btern eye of the law was upon him, however, for just aa the bride, bridegroom, and guests were leaving the Mairie, np Ftepped a police commisßary, who ordered tho poacher to accompany him to the station. Pa»o reluctantly obeyed, and wont to the placo where his presence was bo urgently required, followed by his bride and friends. The obliging police -commissary offered the nuptial party a room, wherein they had the conventional wedding repast, which was got through with as much oonviviality as could be mustered up by the guests under tho peculiar circumstances. After the dejeuner Pave bade adieu to his bride and friends, having first appointed a day for tho religious portion of his marriage, and was then taken away to the central depot ia the vehicle known as the "Salad Basket."
