(PER PRKSB ASSOCIATION.) London, July 7. Mr Gladstone is being severelyheckled by his opponents in the course of the election campaign, and is reported to be greatly irritated at the persistent attacks levelled against him. He is also suffering from a cold. It was William Eedmond, not John, who -was defeated for Cork city. „ ■ The Liberals gain Kensington (Mr Fry), East Division «f Kings-ton^on-Hull t (Mr Smith). The former members hare been reelected iorLewisham, Leeds, Central Leeds, Cardiff, West Division of Kingston on Hull, South Shields, Ifontrose, Uiling (Lord George Hamilton's majority being 3435). Mr Fanbury, a Tory, has been elected for Peckham. The- Libsrals ■ gain Limehoiise (Wallace), Bow and Bromley division of Lower Hamlets (McDonald); North Oamberwell (Bayley). The former members have Leon re-elected for Whitechapel, Stepney, Mill End, Poplar, Brighttide, Hallam; Dulwioh, Dewsbury, Sheffield, Tottenham, Fulham, central division of Kingston-on-Hull, Ecclessale, East Leeds, Attercliffs, South Leeds. July 8. Mr Herbert Gladstone has been elected ; for. Leeds West : by a majority of 353. Mr Cardpll; a Nationalist, has been elected for the borough of Newry. Mr Bean,, a Home Ruler, defeated the Eight Hon. C. F. Richie, President of the Local Government Board, and member of the Cabinet, at Lower Hamlet, by a majority of 398. Lord A. W. Hill, a Conservative, has been reelected for West Downahire unopposed. jSirE.HansenandH. S. Gibbs "have been elected for the city of London. H. L. Mullholland and T. B. Boritho were rs-eleeted unopposed for North Londonderry at St. Ivess. The former members were also re-elected for Berwick Division, Northuuibeland, Denbigh Eastern Fife, Southern Dorset, Ludbury West, Aberdeen, Thorncastle, Sleaford, and Wirrall (Cheshire). The Liberals have gained Chesterton division of C»mbridgo (Mr Hubbarn). Mr Boss, a Tory, beat Mr Justin McCarthy at Londonderry. Tha Unionist press now takes a favourable view of the possible result of the elections.
