The usual monthly qeeting pf the above ■ Comihittee; took place •' «n Thur.sday last. Present — Messrs Groom (chair), Leach, and Shugar. The minutes ,of , thjs, previous meeting were reai and. confirmed, on the motion of Messrs Leach and. jSJiugar. " Attached to' the report was a list of names with their attendances 'for* this quarter and- the las!;, and askingtHQ Committee to take the matter ii^to cqn&icleraUon. ; Proposed by Mr Leach, seconded, by Mr Shugar, that tin Master's report stand over until a fuller meeting.—Carried. Accounts for £4 11s were. passed for payment, ,on the motion of Messrs Leach and ,§}m§ar> • . >v ; / • '<■ Mr Groom said that since the last meeting the prizes promised by Mr Chicken for the best attendance at school had been presented. Seven children had made \\\ possible attendances, and lots had to ha. drawn, and Herbert Shugar \\&d won it, Mr Leaoh proposed, that a vote of thanks be accorded to Mr Chicken for the interest taken by him' in the school. ' Seconded by Mr Grroom and carried. Mr Shugar proposed that the meeting adjourn till next Friday week.—. Carried.
