London, Not. 30. The Afreeds attacked a signalling party at the Khyber Pass, which was blocked by convoys, but were stopped. There was heavy firing at Ali Musjid. Only one tribe is hostile. London, Dec. 1. Forty Socialist leaders, including two members of the German Parliament, have been expelled from Berlin. Later. Diplomatic correspondence from Central Asia shows that General Kauffman is in constant communication with the Ameer. The Russian Government now say tnat their troops marching on Cabul was an independent act of Kauffman’s, who, they declare, was on sick lftave, and his motive was only one of simple courtesy to the Ameer. Russia repeats her past assurances that she has no intention to intervene in Afghanistan affairs.
